Launching in November · iPhone, Android and web

Every plant tells you its own story.

Planty Plants helps you write it down.

Scroll

The point where it breaks

Past the twentieth plant, you lose track.

When did I release the predatory mites? The answer sits in five places: a notes app, a photo somewhere between the holiday pictures, reminders, a label on the pot, the rest in your head. None of it talks to each other.

You keep watering. You just stop knowing.

The plant record

The plant is the point.

Open a plant and it is all there: portrait, care, knowledge, timeline. Scientific name, place, substrate, the date you got it — and every photo since.

Everything else hangs off it.

Below the surface

How deep you gois up to you.

Only the moments that matter, or every single watering. Just a photo, or a sentence to go with it. Observations and actions are one tap — and if you want, pH and EC go in as well.

Technical words are welcome here.

From pot straight to record

Tap the pot.The plant opens.

An NFC sticker under the rim of the pot, about the size of a coin. Hold your phone to it and the plant record opens — no searching the list, no scrolling.

Fifty stickers cost less than ten euros.

The stance

Planty Plants doesn't tell youwhat to do.

Almost every plant app invents a watering rhythm and then reminds you of it. It treats you like someone who kills plants. Planty Plants assumes the opposite: you see the new leaf, you touch the soil — still damp, so snooze it. No app does that for you; it can only help you keep track. No prescribed routine. Your routine, your tool.

You still have to stick your finger in the soil. Worth it anyway.

Tap instead of type. And if a term is missing, you add it.

Your words, none prescribed. None of this leaves this page.

The journal

Write downwhat you see.

Photos, observations and measurements on one plant. What you record is up to you — tags, observations and actions are yours to define, in your own words.

  1. 25 cm, three leaves, east window.
  2. New leaf, still furled.
  3. pH 5.9 · EC 800 µS/cm
  4. Released predatory mites against spider mites. Actions are yours to define.
  5. Removed two rhizomes.
  6. Semi-hydro recipe — filed under the genus, not this plant.
  7. Moved up a pot size, topped up the LECA.

The series

One leaf,nine days.

Related measurements become a series and show up as a curve. Leaf size, pH, EC, temperature, lux — you decide what you measure, and on what.

Observing isn't a task.

The plan

Your rhythm. The app just reminds you.

Watering, feeding, repotting: as a one-off task or a recurring one, bundled into one reminder a day at the time you choose. And if the soil is still damp, you push the task back with a tap: by two days, a week, or to whenever you like.

The soil decides, not the calendar.

The task list in Planty Plants

The shelf

Along the shelf.Plant by plant.

The grid shows what's due today. Tap a plant and you're standing in front of it: one card per plant, watered or pushed back with a tap, plus two quick actions you set up yourself. And while the round is running, it sits on your lock screen.

Swiping only turns the page. You do the ticking off.

The groundwork

And everythingthe rest stands on.

Places, substrates, climbing supports, your own vocabulary. Unglamorous — and without it, none of the rest works.

Where it runs

Your datais yours.

  3. Web beta running

Planty Plants works without the internet too — if you want, everything stays on your device and nothing has to go to a cloud. You can start without an account. And if you ever move on, you take your data with you: a full export in an open format — or your collection as a spreadsheet for Excel and Numbers. Prefer working at a computer? Create an account, turn on sync, and carry on in the browser.
